This is the intertank on Quad II with access hatch visible (on the right) and the twin LOX fill and drain ports (on the left). This feature is over ten feet long, a man can easily fit through the hatch. The intertank is a corrugated structure milled from eight sheets of aluminum and heat formed into semi-circles which are then welded together. It is 256.4 inches long.
