Pad 39A has undergone quite a transformation during the 18 years that it has been hosting Shuttle launches. These images are from about 1983, and show a much cleaner, less evolved and complex Shuttle launch pad. Compare these to the photos I took in 1998 and you can see a dramatic difference. Those interested in building the Revell Shuttle Launch Complex will find these photos match the model's details much more closely.These photos are from the KSC Archives.
