The Block I spacecraft was the first version, used for testing the heatshield and other systems. The first manned flight of a Block I was to be Apollo 1, a Saturn IB flight. The pad fire and resulting disaster revealed design flaws in the construction of the spacecraft.
Most of the models of the Apollo are Block I versions. The Monogram 1/32 is Block II, the version which actually went to the moon. Here are some diagrams of the Block I CM/SM, taken from original references.
