This is an overall view of the base of the S-IC. Dominating the view are the five F-1 engines. The thrust structure is 396.8 inches in diameter and has 128 3"X3" channels riveted to it. These channels stop short of the base by 12 inches. Quadrant III is up, IIII is to the right.
