Launch Complex 34 Gallery

These photos of LC-34 are from the NASA archives at KSC. This complex along with LC-37 were built when the Saturn I and IB launch rates were expected to be high during Apollo development flights. LC-34 saw use during the Saturn I and IB program, and was the site of the Apollo 1 fire. All of the pad equipment is gone now save for the reinforced concrete pedestal that supported the Saturn. This pad is probably the most chilling use of "Abandon In Place".
